It’s only a few days to go before we close the year but we at ICOPicker are still buzzing with new and exciting updates. So, before we bring out the champagne and fireworks to welcome 2019, we’d like to let you in on what’s been going on and make sure that we all close the year on a high note.
Speaking of ending the year with a bang, our updated platform is going live just in time for the New Year’s. This version focuses on providing our users with a much better UX by showcasing the usability of the platform and integrating cutting-edge technologies. The ICOPicker team pushed really hard to make this happen and to ensure that our users will have a seamless and pleasant experience in the platform for both the mobile app and desktop users. Oh, yeah, you read that right. We’ll have a mobile app version too!
What’s New With The Updated Platform?

Database Migration
One of the most daunting tasks we faced is migrating the database from the alpha version to the latest version. With thousands of members, ICO projects, investors, and data on the platform, we ensure that this doesn’t get messed up. Though we are still in the process to, but if in case you have found any error in our data this week, please do reach out to us and we’ll fix it right away.
A New Look
Aside from the database migration that is still in progress, we are happy with the new look and usability of our homepage and project details page. We’ve opted to go for a design that is easy on the eyes, gives the most flawless user experience, and will best reflect the ICOPicker brand. We want users to make the most out of our platform and we feel like the updated interface makes it possible.
Events Section Added
As with any industry, staying updated with the latest events will keep you on top of your game. We’ve decided to partner up with the event organizers to share upcoming blockchain technology and cryptocurrency events. We do hope this helps the community foster stronger connections with other people within the industry once we release the event details page this week. Here’s an image of the events section.
Good to know: ICO projects can also add events to their project page. The ICO project will be transparent this way and potential users/investors can visit the project's team and get to know each other during the events they are attending. Here’s an image of the project page with the events section.
Available In Non-English Languages
Our goal is to reach more people across the globe. Our team feels that the best way to do this is by offering users a good experience in both the web version AND the on-the-go mobile app in a language that they trust. The full ICOPicker platform can now be translated in 6 non-English languages — Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Russian. In a week’s time, we will be adding Dutch, German, French, Spanish, and Italian to the platform’s language repertoire. Since this is not only part of our user experience strategy, its structure is designed for our organic search and growth strategy, where we have created static translated pages (not just a Google translate tool) in order to create geo-targeted SEO campaigns in different languages to strengthen the brand even more, locally. ICOpicker on the go: Android and iOS mobile App
A seamless user experience won’t be complete if we do not have a mobile app. That’s why we are happy to announce that the ICOPicker platform will have mobile apps available for FREE. Like the desktop version, ICOPicker’s mobile app will be packed with tons of features coming up, but for now, we kickoff the mobile apps on Android and iOS with a very basic version and we will release updates with more and more features on a monthly basis. Among its most notable features are the analysis page, events page, automatic language detection based on the user’s mobile device language configuration, featured ICOs, hot picked ICOs, and ICOs that are ending soon. The highlight of 2018?
We built 3 versions within 1 year, that sounds a lot but if you have the data to be able to Iterate quickly, why not develop what the users are asking for? In terms of user interaction and user experience, it’s fine. But when we look back over the whole process, we are really proud of the fact that we have made it possible to develop what we really envisioned; enable our users to pool investment funds via our own created transaction platform in the blockchain.
Even though it got the looks of something ‘raw’ and scary at the end of the day it worked perfectly! And it has its charm to create from nothing to something and to iterate further to the next level. I forgot to mention the amazing experience of pitching the startup to many investors in Asia and enjoying the meetups. So this is another highlight of 2018:
